| je copie les descriptions des groupes qu'on connait pas qui y passe.
Aujourd'hui les chiffres et la lettre A :
6PM (Espagne) : indie electro pop
delicate pop that has aroused comparisons with The Postal Service, Lali Puna and Hood. Following Nadadora’s steps and exhibiting a modest arsenal made of guitar, computer and trumpet, 6PM explore all the corners of sleeping room electronics to fight melancholy with pills made of sensitive and slightly experimental pop.

AA Tigre (Allemagne) : folk
touched by the breaths of Nick Drake, Mikel Laboa and John Fahey. Armed with a banjo and embraced by the fiercest expressive minimalism.
www.myspace.com/aatigre
Alexander Tucker (UK) : Expérimental blues
http://www.myspace.com/alexanderdtucker
Anticonceptivas (Espagne) : Punk surf, new wave
Without any doubts, one of the most delirious band from the native undergound: hen disguises, titles like "Dwarfs in New York " and a juicy mix in of surf music, elastic punk and toy new wave.
www.myspace.com/anticonceptivas
The Apples in Stereo (USA) : Power pop - indie
The five years that divide the playful “Velocity Of Sound” (2002) and “New Magnetic Wonder” have not cut the ability of Robert Schneider to disguise the legacy of The Beatles and The Beach Boys with flamboyant, psychedelic clothes. Contemporary to Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control and other magicians of Elephant 6 collective, The Apples In Stereo, after half a dozen records, stick to that bright, optimistic and addictive pop that started tempting in “Fun Trick Noisemaker” (95) and whose tricks, secrets and resources are no longer unknown to them.

Apse (USA) : Rock expérimental
sorte de post rock plus rapide, assez dark avec des choeurs parfois. Sympa.

Band of Horses (USA) : indie rock
dans le genre des Shins, Death Cab for Cutie,... sympathique
www.myspace.com/bandofhorses
Barry Adamson (UK) : expérimental
c'est très spécial... perso j'aime pas trop. Barry Adamson’s, former bassist of Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds. the Mancunian, an anxious craftsman of black root and cinematic sounds, has left his imprint in many soundtracks, as “Lost Highway” (David Lynch), “The Beach” (Danny Boyle) and “The Acid House” (Paul McGuigan), among others, and he has improved his ability to compose collages fed by soul, jazz, funk, rock and disco.

Battles (USA) :
From the impossible mix between hip hop, mathematics, and experimental rock, is born one of the most interesting American forefront bands: Battles
www.myspace.com/battlestheband
Beirut (USA) : balkan indie folk
magnifique
www.myspace.com/beruit
The Black Lips (USA) : joyeux
They introduce themselves as the kings of the psychedelic underground garage, definition that fits them perfectly for this band that transforms each of their live shows into authentic physical and electric experiences, full of all kinds of physiological functions.
www.myspace.com/theblacklips
Black Mountain (Canada) : Psyché folk rock
The Canadian Black Mountain, defined as an impossible cross of The Velvet Underground, The Warlocks and Brian Jonestown Massacre, became famous in 2005 with a homonym début album in which winks to blues and acid rock pile up.
www.myspace.com/blackmountain
Bola (UK) : Floating electro
Tireless investigator and speleologist of the less easy-going IDM, Darrell Fitton is the hidden artist behind Bola, an experimental electronic project which embraces Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada and Autechre.
www.skam.co.uk
Bonde Do Role (Brésil) : c'est frais !
Diplo defines the Brasilian Bonde De Role as: “Kids souting about drug son a loop of Smiths and some breakbeats”. The band, formed by three foul-mouthed MC’s from Curitiba, intends to revitalize Rio’s funk with such unusual loans as showed in “Melo Do Tabaco”.
www.myspace.com/bondedorole
Brightblack Morning Light (USA) : jazz trip hop
The trio, whose third member is Noah Wilson, attracted by the magnetism of psychedelia and the country charm of pastoral folk, is somewhere between the moaning of Red House Painters and the new batch of eccentrics leaded by Devendra Banhart.
j'ai leur album et je trouve vraiment bien !!

Chromeo (Canada) : Electro funk
http://www.myspace.com/chromeo
Comets on Fire (USA) : Pschyk Rock
mix of the 60's psychedelia with the abrasive rock of the 70's. The result was the fibrous and smoking "Blue Cathedral" which overflowed all types of generes and exhumed the crudity of MC5 and The Stooges. The sound of this album remind us of a concrete machine in which blends touches of noise-rock and winks to Led Zeppelin.

David Carretta (France) : Electro
Protégé of Hell and flagship of the swinishest electro-techno, the French David Carretta is, in addition to the creator of the labels Pornflake and Space Factory, one of the International Deejay Gigolos’ central pillars.
www.myspace.com/davidcarretta
David Thomas Broughton (UK) : folk
Melancholic, dark and gifted with plenty of scenic resources, the British has been able with just one album to step beyond and decrease the distance between Antony and Will Oldham. The austere and suffering “The Complete Guide To Insufficiency”, recorded in a church in just one day, is the best letter of introduction of this songwriter who has managed to narrow bows with Nick Drake and other nostalgic of greyish folk.
www.myspace.com/davidthomasbroughton
Death Vessel (USA) : pop folk
Death Vessel, just a step ahead of oficially becoming “the band of the man with a female voice”, will play for their first time in Barcelona “Stay Close”, a mild début album which revives the country-rock and Folk. Ardent listeners of Townes Van Zandt and armed with an arsenal full of accoustic guitars, mandolins banjos and organs.
www.myspace.com/deathvessel
Diplo (USA) : Electro hip hop mix
Originary from Tupelo, Mississipi, he has signed vertiginous Dj sessions alone or with the Canadian A-Trak, in which he reports his passion for funk. Besides, has remixed DJ Shadow and Gwen Stefani and supported live Roots Manuva and Prefuse 73 In 2004 he made his début in studio with “Florida”, a mosaic made of rap, trip-hop and dancehall, and a year later released number 24 of “Fabriclive” series, in which he mixes Aphex Twin, The Cure, Cat Power, Outkast an Le Tigre among others.

Dirty Three (Australie) : post rock atmosph
The stormy, mad violin of Warren Ellis is the compass that leads the Dirty Three, the vigorous Australian tercet that has spent most of last decade struggling to avoid his shady folk ends in post-rock.
j'adore !
www.myspace.com/dirtythree
DJ Yoda (UK) : hip hop
Acclaimed by “Q” magazine as “one of the 10 Dj' s you have to see before dying”, Beiny has made popular sets where musical juggling and images from “Star wars”, “Big trouble in little China” or “The Muppets” travel at the same speed and rhythm, mixing and building a giant collage which carries the “cut & paste” until its limit. Musically speaking, Dj Yoda starts from hip hop to go through with rhythm and laughs along the 80’s pop and the 70’s rock. His last work is the stratospheric and colorful “The Amazing Adventures Of DJ Yoda”.
www.myspace.com/djyodauk
Dominic Eulberg (Allemagne) : techno
Also known as Rocco Branco and with his work spread in Ware, Trapez and Cocoon among other labels, Eulberg combines his passion for nature (he worked as forest guide) with research in minimal techno, a style that this producer reised between Cologne and Frankfurt considers “perfect to reproduce Mother Nature’s beat”.
www.dominik-eulberg.de/
Durutti Column (UK) : floating african electro
The Manchester musician, with more than 20 published albums and a name inspired in the militia that tried to reconquer Zaragoza during the Spanish Civil War, gives a turn of screw to his career in “Keep Breathing” to come closer to traditional Jew music and African rythms.

Erol Alkan (UK) : electro - rock
Self-named “Bastard Pop DJ” , he is as eclectic as they come, and has made of his sets an example of good taste, and in them he includes rock, electronics and enlightening lessons of music. Proof of this is his late CD.mix for MIxmag, including tracks by Justice, Mr Oizo, The Knife y Hot Chip, among many others.

| vu que les horaires trainent, je continue... Fujiya & Miyagi (UK) : They are not Japanese, nor a duo: Fujiya and Miyagi are three English men from Brighton, in love with the Japanese culture, their antennas orientated towards a mix of krautrock, electro, pop and analogical keyboards. http://www.myspace.com/fujiyaandmiyagi Ginferno (Espagne) : psyché surf rockcai marrant http://www.myspace.com/ginferno Grizzly Bear (USA) : folk expérimentaleun concert à ne pas manquer tout simplement !! http://www.myspace.com/grizzlybear Grupo de Expertos Solynieve (Espagne) : folk flamencoconnect the Spanish southern sound with a foreign southern sound. Or mixing country, folk and flamenco to serve it with self-confidence in “Alegato meridional”, first album of this project http://www.myspace.com/laculturalsolynieve ca peut etre un bon moment si y a rien d'autres. Half Foot Outside (Espagne) : indie rockActive for almost a decade, Half Foot Outside has turned in synonymous of resistance and reliability into the turbulent waters of the indie state. A good proof is "Perfect From The Distance", anthological and encyclopaedically record, mixed by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth) and with Gary Louris's collaboration (The Jayhawks). http://www.myspace.com/halffootoutside Hot Chip (UK) : Big winners of the electronic part of 2006, the British Hot Chip have ended making sounding good this strange mix of pop and electro that, nevertheless, is not pop and not even electro. Half way between New Order, The Postal Service and any of the names that appears in their extensive list of influences - from LCD Soundsystem to Prince, going by Arthur Russell, Hot Chip consecrated themselves with "The Warning", addictive work of retro-futurist pop and crazy funk served only with four keyboards and a drum box. http://www.myspace.com/hotchip How Dare You! (Espagne) : Surf-blues-rockNewly gone out of the Barcelonan subsoil, How Dare You! Are Oscar Ribell, Odil Bright and Ene Anux, a trio that come from so many bands that it turns out impossible to classify their sound: ESG, The Slits, P.I.L, The Velvet Underground, The Au Pairs, Talking Heads, Television Personalities, Brian Eno and Jonathan Richman are only some of the influences that they recognize and use at the moment of elaborating their emergent rock. http://www.myspace.com/howdareumusic Jay Reatard (USA) : Garage-rockKnown for his career together with The Reatards and Lost Souls, Jay Reatard decided last year to try his chance in solitarily and recorded "Blood Visions", a bomb of garage music dispatched with the speed of cruise, in which the singer of Memphis send fifteen songs in the hardly half an hour. http://www.myspace.com/jayreatard Day Kimya Dawson (USA) : indie folkMAGNIFIQUE !!! je la manquerai pas Saying that Kimya Dawson was the female crazy half of the Moldy Peaches would be too little to say. The girl from Bedford Hills, ringleader of anti-folk new Yorker movement, has perfected in the last few years a song format barely drawn, in which voice, guitar and sudden keyboard chords embed tracks as bizarre as daily. http://www.myspace.com/kimyadawson | |

| Koacha (France) : Pop RockThey assure that they do not have anything to envy to their British and North American ancestors and, in fact, if we need to characterize the music of the Frenchmen Koacha, it is their facility when they lead influences and concentrate to pack them to the emptiness in appetizing pills of punk-pop. The Who, Supergrass, the brit-pop and the North American indie are only some of the things that come to mind after the listening of "The Female Of The Species Is More Deadly Than The Male". ca me fait beaucoup penser à Spinto Band, et Franz Ferdinandhttp://www.myspace.com/koacha Le Pianc (Espagne) : Pop PunkTwo feminine vocalists, xylophone, keyboards and festive winds are the weapon of this Barcelonan formation pawned in following The B-52's' steps and confusing their fingerprints with those of Stereolab. With an auto published EP and a handful of punk-pop contagious songs, the band prepares itself to start longer and to present the songs of their first album at the Estrella Damm Primavera Sound 2007. ca me fait penser à Electrelane et je rajoute que les deux chanteuses sont http://www.myspace.com/lepianc The Light Brigade (Espagne) : songwritingFrom Vilanova I the Geltrú (Barcelona) there comes The Light Brigade, band leaded by the singer and guitarist Pere Agramunt who pokes in last decades to extract to the surface a crystalline and sleepy pop that nourish itself both from Nick Drake and The Divine Comedy. http://www.myspace.com/thelightbrigades Lisabö (Portugal) : Rock psychéBorn in 1998 and entreched in that crack opened between post-rock and post-hardcore, Lisabö are, after five records, one of the most reliable thermometers to calibrate the health of Basque experimental rock. Crude, intense and with a demolisher staging standing out a rythmical base formed by two drummers. http://www.myspace.com/lisaboezlekuak The Long Blondes (UK) : indie rock In little more than a year, The Long Blondes, “the best unsigned band in 2006” as NME called them, has become one of the most refreshing and addictive débuts of the last campaign. The British band, sponsored and produced by Steve Mackey, dispatch an elastic, agitated pop that assumes without complex the influence of Blondie, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Smiths and Elastica. http://www.myspace.com/thelongblondes LOW (USA) : folk rock electro à ne pas manquer, tout simplement génial www.myspace.com/low Man like Me (UK) : louchePenultimate phenomenon arisen from the streets of London, Johnny Langer ask for the witness of the urban British sounds with an arsenal of provocative heaps and a handful of paces inherited from the dancehall. The Englishman, insolent and nonchalant, has already been baptized as a mix between Damon Albarn, Ian Dury and The Streets. http://www.myspace.com/manlikeme Matt Eliott (France) : folkThe harsh, devastated “Failing Songs” has confirmed the inmense value of the British Matt Elliott as observer of his times and craftsman of a new way of hearing Folk in which whispers, laments, acoustic guitars and mediterranean melodies build an inusual postcard of western decline. Definitely far from the soffucating electronic moods of Third Eye Foundation, Matt Elliott will give a special performance at Estrella Damm Primavera Sound 2007, featuring a seven musicians string orchestra. It will be the unique performance in Spain of an exclusive series of shows that the autor of “Drinking Songs”(2005) will give in Paris, London, Bruxelles, Rome and Milan. bien envie de voir... pas été voir quand il est passé au romandie. http://www.myspace.com/mattelliotandthethirdeye ensuite : Melvins, Modest Mouse, Mùm, Maximo Park,... vous connaissez. Mus (Espagne) : ambient folkThe almost 3 years of silence that opened after the release of “Divina Luz” (2004) will break next March with the edition of “La Vida”, the return of Monica Vacas and Fran Gayo to the record scene. The fourth album of the band is, in their own words, their most luminous and accessible work, a real change coming from a band which has been subscribed to painful, devastated and slow pop since “Fai” (99). cai sympa http://www.myspace.com/muscontac Nueva Vulcano (Espagne) : folk-metalThe day that Aina went on to a better life, Artur Estrada already started planning what would be his following blow of effect: Nueva Vulcano. Or, which is the same, a new way to continue tickling hardcore music from a eminently rock prism and to reinforce the anger that was connecting the sound of the Catalan band to legends of the indie like Sebadoh or My Bloody Valentine. http://www.myspace.com/nuevavulcano Oakley Hall (USA) : indie rockPat Sullivan, who is now far from the restless and paved rock that had dealt with with Oneida until 2001, has now found in Oakley Hall the best way of focusing his love for root music and serve it in vibrant works such as the recent “Gypsum Strings”. The New Yorker opens the door to influences, accompanied by singer Rachel Cox, to pack his Brooklyn venue with winks to The Byrds, The Feelies, Mercury Rev and Fairport Convention, and forces the clash of the respect to traditions and the wider look inherited from pop. cai vachement bien ca ! http://www.myspace.com/oakleyhall voilà jay fini les 2 premières colonnes | |

| One Two (France) : Electro pop-rock
One-Two is Paul Humpreys and Claudia Brücken, ex components of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark and Propaganda, respectively. They decided to join their past experience to feed a present in which they interlace the spinal marrow of pop music, the atmospheric investigations and the electronic landscapes.

OVNI (Espagne) : rock espagnol
After getting known with "1984", Ovni has changed to park the hasty energy of their beginnings in "Aterrizaje!", album produced by Thin Oyarte (Los enemigos, Clovis) in which this Argentine quartet living in Barcelona purifies a list of references in which they were fitting from The Strokes to Tequila, and get a bit more closer to pop music.

Parenthetical Girls (USA) : indie pop
one of the most anomalous and atypical projects arisen from the back-room of the American indie. Their first record, "Safe As House", is pop's banquet in which electronic music is an excuse to make distance between their compositions and the ones of Brian Wilson and Phil Spector shorter.

Portastic (USA) : indie pop
Five discs released in the last three years help to understand the magnitude of an adventure which last record is " Be Still Please ", inspired return to a musical universe in which the rock author let himself entertain by pop and music of roots. All this with McCaughan's unmistakable vocal stamp.

| Raul Moya Y El Trio Minina (Espagne) : folk rock
Accompanied by Víctor Francisco, Josep Morera and Dani Jones, baptized here as El Trio Miniña, Moya has extracted from his sleeve a brave and risky record in which his voice, a fragile thread that crawls on the melodies, connects Dylan with Low and The Planets with the European folk.

Robyn Hitchcock & The Venus 3 (UK) : rock
Robyn Hitchcock, the missing link between psychedelia and punk and communicating vessel that connects John Lennon with Syd Barret and Bob Dylan with Ray Davies, keeps on feeding his ghosts and looking for new alliances to re-dress that hereafter folk. These friends are now The Venus 3, i.e. a support band formed by the R.E.M Peter Buck, Scott McCaughney and Bill Rieflin. With them he will present an album which have also helped to record the ex Soft Boys Kimberley Rew and Morris Windsor, the keyboard player of the Faces Ian McLagan and the versatile producer Sean Nelson.

Shitdisco (UK) : disco-rock
Formed in the popular School of Art of Glasgow, Shitdisco has given corner to the Scotch pop to look for inspiration at the other side of the puddle and to bring back a suitcase full of discs of Talking Heads, Donna Summer and Arthur Russell. The result, tinned in the vibrant "Kingdom Of Fear", gives a new return to the dance-floor orientated punk and has been used to accompany The Rapture their British tour. http://www.myspace.com/shitdisco
Slint (USA) : post rock
Omnipresent on the headlines of any style born on the edge of American rock at the beginning of the 90’s, Slint broke a 15 year long silence 2 years ago in order to restore a legend that had been enlarged by the aura of mistery and cursedness that prevailed in the brief store of the band. The band from Louisville, that was formed in 1987 by Brian McMahan, David Pajo, Britt Walford y Ethan Buckler, hended only 5 years two break the spinal cord of hardcore, set the grounds of post-rock and take to a close-up his dense and obscure praise of slowness. The band’s godfather was Steve Albini and with 2 albums, an EP and a couple of promotion pictures as only artistic legacy, the name of Slint is inevitable linked to the legend of Spiderland, a masterwork of show rock which will be played on its whole by the band in Estrella Damm Primavera Sound 2007. This album, which was first Publisher in 1991, is the second of the quartet and a captivating swann song that caught sight the peak of slowcore and is said to have caused Macmahan’s internation in a mental institution. An intense, painful, heart-rending and fascinating, Spiderland is still, 15 years alter its recording, the best compass to go into the unknown.

ca va être énorme !
Spank Rock (USA) : Big Dada Hip hop
The North American duo has been worth an extent of gun-sights that, in the musical thing, spreads out lengthways and width of the genre to knot the tradition based on cerebral electro, UK garage and ghetto tech.

Spiritualized (UK) : Floating rock
Together with a string quartet, a gospel choir and guitarist Doggen, Jason Pierce will revive songs of Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized, will search other artists’ repertoires and will advance a few songs of Spiritualized new album, planned for the beginning of 2007 and what Pierce defines as devil’s likely work under his supervision. The toxic artist par excellence and alchemist of floating rock, the British musician also known as James Spaceman has been testing the expressive possibilities of his band for over a decade.

Sr. Chinarro (Espagne) : pop rock espagnol
Classic one among classic ones, Antonio Luque leads since many years the most anxious faction of the author song. the Sevillian has purified increasingly his musical universe till turning into the perfect mix between KIko Veneno and The Smith. His last two works, “El Fuego Amigo” (2005) and the sensational “El Mundo Según Sr. Chinarro” (2006) have not been more than the beginning of an unforeseeable career marked by customs, surrealism and a generous amount of talent.

Standstill (Espagne) :
Each time removed from the furious hardcore of their beginning, the Barcelonese Standstill have dynamited any stylistic barrier with the slippery "Vivalaguerra", a record that exceeds any preconceived idea on the band and passes by folk, progressive rock of the seventies and cerebral melodies of the nineties.

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists (USA) : rock
Survivor of the American underground and figure associated with the brief existence of Chisel and The Sin Eaters, Ted Leo is still commited in vindicating himself as a lost link between the American indie rock and the pop of British inspiration.

Veracruz (Espagne) : rock déjanté
Before coming out of the Barcelona underground scene with their homonym début album, Veracruz were already on the front row, shaking the nights of the Catalan capital and boogying to the rhythm of Television Personalities and The Fall. Now, 2 years after “Veracruz”, the Catalan quartet is shaping their second album, a record that will give a radical twist by the influence of Joe Jackson, The Style Council and African music, without leaving their devotion to 70’s punk.

Wilco (USA) : pop rock
5 perfect albums and a laudable wide vision have made of Wilco one of the best bands in the American rock.

X-Wife (Portugal) : electro rock
Virus of post-punk has also reached Portugal with X-Wife, elastic trio formed by Joao Vieira, Fernando Sousa and Rui Maia that has even been blessed by British press. Halfway between Liquid Liquid, Death From Avobe 1979 and the new wave of de synth-punk, the Portuguese band débuted in 2004 with “Feeding The Machine” and, after supporting Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem y Liars, among others, they try to break geographic barriers with the recent “Side Effects”.

Za (Espagne) : noise punk
They say that they sound like a "big cubic ball of granite" so their contract with Acuarela doesn’t stop being one of the most surprising news of the season. Especially if we are aware that Za is composed by three Catalans who like the noise as much as crossing the border of experimental hardcore. With only one released album, Terrassa's trio has already played with Yellow Swans and Lydia Lunch.
